Faculty Comments:

Mrs. Samantha Howerton: Taytem is such a gem! She's sweet, organized, and so involved. Behind her quiet exterior is quite the leader! She currently serves as the Vice President of our school's student council and is constantly planning, implementing, and doing so much for our school and community. We're going to miss this wonderful human next year!

Mrs. Tomi Kirkland: This beautiful young woman has blossomed from a shy freshman into a confident senior girl who is ready to take on the world!  Taytem is a quiet, but bright spot, every day in my life at RHS.  She is a dedicated student and a hardworking StuCo member.  She has an infectious laugh and a bright smile.  It is always a good time when Taytem is around!  Taytem is another member of the best advisory at RHS; she will be missed next year!

Mrs. Annette Benn-Thornton: If there were an Olympic event for academic drive, kindness, and good humor, Taytem Tyra would be bringing home the gold. Taytem is an absolute powerhouse of knowledge and hard work. She is the kind of student who doesn’t just meet expectations, but exceeds them, leaving them in the rearview mirror as she speeds by in her pursuit of excellence.

What really sets Taytem apart is her ability to balance confidence with compassion. Whether it’s a group project or a classroom discussion, she listens thoughtfully, supports her peers and her teachers, and keeps the energy positive and fun. Taytem welcomes new challenges with enthusiasm (and probably a well-organized color-coded plan). There’s no doubt that Taytem will be a strong and successful leader in her future, but for now, we’re lucky to have her leading by example here at RHS.
