Faculty Comments:

Mrs. Francesca Jones - I can't think of a more deserving Student of the Week than Elsie Bott! She truly is an exceptional individual who stands out not only for her brilliant academic intellect but also for her profound commitment to our school and community.

Academically, Elsie possesses a sharp, analytical mind and a genuine passion for learning. She consistently approaches challenging concepts with curiosity and insight, frequently elevating class discussions with her thoughtful perspectives. Her dedication to excellence is evident in the quality of her work and her consistent desire to push past the status quo.

What makes Elsie truly remarkable, however, is her ability to balance this academic rigor with an extraordinary level of involvement. She is involved in many things at RHS as well as her church and our community. In Key Club, she brings energy and leadership. She was the club secretary for two years before holding her current position as Vice President. She does not just join clubs and activities to build a resume; she actively contributes, uplifts her peers, and drives positive change.

Managing such a diverse and demanding schedule requires incredible time management, maturity, and resilience—qualities that Elsie consistently displays. She also treats everyone with respect and kindness, exhibiting her true character.

Elsie embodies what it means to be a well-rounded leader, a dedicated scholar, and a stellar community member. She is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Wolverine and truly deserving of the Student of the Week honor.

Mrs. Margaret Urbigkit: Elsie is an incredible asset to NHS, bringing strong leadership skills and authentic passion for service to her position as NHS president.

The Ranger/WyoToday:

1. What advice do you have for younger students? Take advantage of where you are right now and enjoy the day-to-day little moments - sometimes those make the best memories!

2. What is your favorite school subject or activity, and why? I'm not sure I could ever pick one, but I especially enjoy chemistry, band, and English. They all challenge me in different ways and I enjoy learning, writing, and performing!

3. Who is your role model? What have you learned from them? I've had many role models over the years, but my parents especially have taught me to search for and do difficult things, especially when I don't want to, and that makes me a better person.

4. What makes your school special? RHS is small enough that everyone knows almost everybody but large enough to give us lots of opportunities.
